The Mountaintop Area Council of Governments (COG) Composting Facility will open for the season on April 1.
🗓 Hours of Operation
• Wednesdays: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The facility generally operates April through November (weather dependent) and will be open one Saturday in January for Christmas tree drop-off.
🎟 Annual Permits Required
Permits can be obtained at the COG facility or at the municipal building during regular business hours.
Please bring ID for proof of residency. Payment must be check or exact cash (no change available).
Permit Fees:
• Wright Township Residents – $25
• Mountain Top Area Residents – $50
• Mountain Top Area Businesses – $250
🌿 Accepted Materials (Yard Waste Only):
• Leaves
• Grass clippings
• Garden residue
• Tree trimmings
• Chipped shrubbery
• Other vegetative yard waste
Please help keep our community clean and sustainable by properly disposing of yard waste at the compost facility.
